Mission

 

    

The mission of the post-doctoral program is to train researchers in the area of mental health services research. The fellowship program will provide trainees with a solid understanding of professional and clinical methodological skills required to conduct high quality mental health services research. Program participants will be prepared to serve either as independent investigators or policy analysts and will be able to address important issues such as: 

  • Improving quality of care

  • Improving access to care

  • Improving health and functional status

  • Increasing effective and efficient use of mental health care resources

  • Developing data and methods for advancing mental health services research 

The program is designed to prepare fellows for grant writing, data collection/analysis and publication in the field of mental health services research. 


Fellows are expected to develop and carry out a research project focusing on mental health care issues.
