Cytogenetics involves the study of human
chromosome structure, pathology, function and behavior.
The UAMS Cytogenetics Laboratory offers trypsin-Giemsa banded chromosome
analysis, tissue
culture for metabolic studies, molecular diagnosis by fluorescent in-situ
hybridization (FISH)
and spectral karyotyping (SKY).
