The mission of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is to provide excellent educational opportunities for students of the health care professions in a stimulating environment of basic and clinical research, integrated with the delivery of superb, comprehensive health care services.

 

Information Technology Mission

UAMS’ Information Technology (IT) mission is to provide a coherent, highly functional, cost effective and customer-service oriented IT environment. It is an expectation that IT will strengthen the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of education, patient care and research.

 

Information Technology Vision

UAMS believes information is a strategic tool that enables our educators, researchers and clinicians to deliver world-class healthcare and education. UAMS will be recognized for its excellent health care, research, and health education. Information Technology’s contribution to that recognition will be through the following IT principles:

  • Information technology will be an integral support component to the mission and strategies of UAMS
