We extend to you a warm welcome and thank you for your interest in the College of Health Professions (CHP)! 

The CHP Welcome Center is a combination pre-admissions and admissions office designed to streamline the process for prospective students of obtaining information about our certificate and degree programs and, then, facilitate the processing of their applications.  Our main focus is assisting prospective students to reach their academic and career goals. 

In addition to pre-admission advising and admissions personnel the Welcome Center houses the registrar and recruiter.  Our team is committed to providing professional and efficient support to all we serve. 

 

Support Request

Because of your busy schedule and/or distance from campus there may be times when you are unable to call or visit the Welcome Center during regular business hours.  If you have a question, concern, or suggestion for the staff, please send an email to the Director. If you are a current student, please provide your name and UAMS Student ID number.  With the exception of weekends and holidays, all requests will receive a response within 24 hours.

• Can you mail me a brochure?
  We no longer mail brochures.  We invite you to view the current CHP catalog.
   

• How much is the application fee?
  The application fee is $40.00 for the first program, $10.00 for each additional program.
   

• What are your course requirements?
  Course requirements vary by program.  Please consult the individual program section of the CHP catalog  for specific program information.
   

• What are your deadlines?
  Application deadlines vary by program.  Please consult the CHP catalog for specific program information. 
   

• Are classes offered online?
  The majority of our courses are taught through traditional classroom instruction.  Some programs include online course components.
   

• Do you accept financial aid?
  Yes, we accept financial aid and other types of loans, grants, and scholarships funds.
