Admission
Requirements
Students may be admitted into any semester, pending class capacity.
There are no required online professional courses offered in the fall
semester. However, RRT-to-BS degree students may receive 1SC of
elective credit by completing RES-4144: Scholarship Project. To ensure
adequate time to review applications, all of the following requirements
must be received by:

April 30th for summer admission

November 30th for spring admission
-
July 30th for fall admission
When
not all application requirements are received by these deadlines,
students may be allowed to register for one RRT-to-BS degree course as a
Non-Degree,
Non-Certificate Student (see attached policy and application).
Applicants must provide:

Application for Admission:
The
College of Health Related Professions Application for Admission is
required. Applications are available on the Website at:
http://www.uams.edu/chrp/apply/default.asp

Application Fee: A
$40.00 non-refundable fee is required and must accompany the
application.

Official Transcripts:
Arrange for each college or university you have attended to forward
an official transcript of your course work to the Office of Student
Affairs, College of Health Related Professions, 4301 W. Markham
#619, Little Rock, AR 72205. A CGPA of at least 2.0 is required
to be considered for admission.

Proof of RRT Status:
Submit a notarized copy of NBRC documentation of your RRT
credential.

Interview:
Applicants must submit written responses to a list of interview
questions with the application. The Certificate of Authorship must
be signed and submitted by the applicant in order to complete this
requirement.

References:
Three (3) Reference Rating Forms are required. The forms must be
completed and returned by the applicant’s direct supervisor, a
physician, and a peer professional (therapist, nurse, etc.).
Applicants are encouraged to provide the form and an addressed,
stamped envelope to each reference so he/she can return the form
directly to the program.

Transcripts “issued to the student” will not substitute for official
transcripts forwarded directly to the College of Health Related
Professions by the institution issuing the transcript.
Arkansas residency
will be considered during selection for admission.
Applicants are

Upon acceptance,
students must complete the following matriculation requirements:

CPR
Certification:
Students must be certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS,
Health Care Providers) according to American Heart Association
(AHA). All current CPR certifications which expire prior to the
program graduation date will require recertification as a
prerequisite to the first clinical course.

Physical Examination:
Physical examination forms must be completed and signed by a
physician and are due no later than tw0 (2) weeks before the date of
registration for the first semester.

CHRP Orientation:
All UAMS students must complete a HIPAA training module which can be
accessed on-line and sign a IT Confidentiality Agreement.
