Message from the Chair

Welcome to the UAMS PA Program website! We are really excited about the start of the program this May! It has been a long year of planning the curriculum, hiring faculty and staff, admitting students, renovating the PA Lab building and preparing for the start of the inaugural class. Not to mention being awarded Accreditation – Provisional by the ARC-PA! We are greatly looking forward to training our first cohort of students and producing medical providers who will greatly contribute to healthcare in the state of Arkansas.

We have small class sizes in order to ensure an excellent educational experience and to produce high quality medical providers.

We have developed an innovative curriculum which includes addressing cultural competency, early clinical experiences, evidence-based medicine and service learning. We emphasize critical thinking and clinical application in our clinical reasoning course which is a small group case-based course that meets weekly.
