Coding Classes / Continuing Education

The Health Information Management (HIM) department at UAMS offers four courses as Continuing Education (CE). These courses were designed for those persons interested in learning more about Medical Terminology, Anatomy, ICD-9 Coding and CPT Coding without pursuing a college degree. These are CE hours rather than college-credit courses. Many individuals who complete these four (4) courses go on to well-paying positions in physician offices and/or outpatient clinics, while others may choose to pursue further education in the HIM program at UAMS.
