This continuing education course is
designed for the individual who lacks a formal background in life
sciences but who has or plans a career in the healthcare field.
This course does not qualify for college credit toward any degree or
college certificate. Students who complete this 10-week course
will earn a certificate of completion from the UAMS CHRP Health
Information Management program.

Internet Access: This course requires a broadband
connection (DSL or Cable) to view the videos and use the interactive
tools.
Course Structure: Consists of 10
weeks of instruction with a weekly quizzes and exams. Attending the
course will reward the student with 20 continuing education hours. The
class meets online and can be completed at the student’s discretion. We
like to encourage students to try and complete the course within 10
weeks but understand that you are busy professionals and need to work at
your own pace. Please note: This course does not qualify for college
credit. It is a skills development program.
Each week of the online course consists of
the following activities and requirements:

Reading Assignment with quiz.

Video Lecture with quiz.

Visible Body Exercise with quiz
(except for week 1 – no visible body exercise for the integumentary
system)

Tutorials for learning enhancement
(not required but recommended)

Interactive Learning Games (not
required but may help the student reinforce the learning in a an
engaging way)

Weekly Comprehensive Examination
Each quiz/exam can be taken up to two
times. Students must pass each quiz/exam with a 70% or greater score
to pass the course. Quizzes allow the students to submit and review
answers at each question point before submitting the exam. This will
enable you to review your notes, textbook and other materials to assist
you with learning the materials. The weekly exams only allow the
student to review answers at the end of the examination. Using notes,
textbooks and other materials during exams is acceptable in this course.

Analyze the body structure and the relationship of its parts.

Examine the functions of the body systems and of the organs
within each system.

Understand the anatomical structure of the human body as to
location, function, and the interrelationships with other organs
and systems.

Use basic medical terminology in describing anatomical
structures and their functions.

Apply an understanding of body planes, regions, cavities, and
relative positions within each body system. |
Class Rules:
- Grade will
be comprised of the ten weeks with (3) quizzes and (1) exam
weekly. Passing scores are 70% and above. You may take each
assessment up to twice.
- If you have any

- If you have
technical problems with the course you can contact Wm. "Mitch" Mitchell with the Rural Hospital Program. Email is the

- At the end of
the course if all exams/quizzes have been passed with a 70% or
greater score and the student has completed the course evaluation
THEN a certificate of completion will be able to be printed out by
the participant in the online course. You may also print the
certificate via the UAMS Rural Hospital Program’s Online CE/CME Website.
