Baccalaureate in EMS: Application Procedures
Pre Admission Advising Session
Qualified applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the Department to
arrange an advising session prior to submitting an application and all official
transcripts. This session will be scheduled for an in person meeting or via
other technologies as appropriate.

The following are the minimum admission requirements for consideration
and do not guarantee acceptance into the program.

given preferential consideration on admissions decisions
Preferred Admission Criteria

Cumulative GPA of 2.5

Includes all transcripts from accredited institutions. Must be mailed
directly from institution to UAMS/CHP Admissions Officer.

Selection Process

for the program:

The selection committee reviews all applications that meet admission
requirements.

Bachelor’s Degree in EMS for Currently Licensed/Certified Paramedics:
Class size is limited and all applicants may not be selected for participation
in the program.
In order to be assured of consideration for admission the following application
deadliness must be met. All application materials must be received by the dates
below.
Fall entry – August 1
Spring entry – December 1
Summer entry – May 1
In the event the class is not filled from those applicants, the application
deadline may be extended. Applicants must complete all application
requirements (1-7) in order to receive consideration. Applicants must
provide:

Application for Admission:
The College of Health Professions Application for Admission is required.*
Applications are only accepted for this program online, to
apply directly online by clicking here.

Application Fee:
A $40.00 non-refundable fee is required and must accompany the
application. (If applying to multiple programs, a $40.00 fee is
required for the first program and $10.00 for each additional program.)

Official Transcripts:
Arrange for each college or university you have attended to forward an
official transcript of your course work to:

Transcripts "issued to the student" will not substitute for official
transcripts forwarded directly to the College of Health Professions by the
institution issuing the transcripts. A college Cumulative Grade Point
Average (CGPA) of 2.5 is required for admission to the program.

Personal Statement:
A letter written by the applicant is required. It should state the
applicant's interest in the program and the field, and objective(s) to be
achieved through completion of the program.

scheduled for an in person meeting or via other technologies as appropriate.

*Admission Requirements for Foreign, Non-permanent Resident Alien, and
Non-native English Speakers: All applicants who are not United States
citizens or permanent resident aliens or for whom English is not
their native language must meet additional admission requirements. Please
