Statement of Goals

Graduates of the UAMS Cytotechnology Program will:

1)    be qualified as competent entry-level cytotechnologists,

2)    complete a clinical internship portion of the curriculum with a minimum accuracy level that increases each semester, and

3)    demonstrate skills associated with the lifelong learning of cytopathology.

The goal defining minimum expectations for this program is to prepare competent entry-level cytotechnologists in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains. Further, this program will provide quality instruction and professional education in the field of cytopathology so graduates will be qualified cytotechnologists.
