Doctor of Audiology: Pre-professional Requirements

Students applying for admission to the Au.D. program in the post-bachelor's degree track must have earned at least a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university. If the major is in an area other than communication sciences and disorders (CSD), 12 hours of specified pre-professional undergraduate course work in CSD are required (Phonetics, Language Acquisition, Hearing Science, Introduction to Audiology).  Beginning in the fall of 2007, students may be admitted into the Au.D. program without these courses but these preprofessional courses must be taken in the first or second year of the Au.D. program. These pre-professional undergraduate CSD courses are offered at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. For more information on this option, contact the department.
