Application Process and Timeline

  • During admission reviews, first consideration may be given to Arkansas residents.  Highly qualified applicants from out-of-state are strongly encouraged to apply and may successfully compete for admission.  The Program is committed to admitting and graduating qualified candidates from diverse groups.

  • Two applications are now required:

  • The UAMS Physician Assistant Program will have a rolling admissions process and will begin evaluating student admission files in May 2013.
  • Applicants will be selected for interviews by the PA Program Admission Committee and will be invited for an on-campus interview beginning in the fall of 2012 and continuing through spring of 2013. Application deadline to the Physician Assistant Program for the class beginning May 2014 is December 1, 2013. All necessary documents of applications must be submitted on or before December 1, 2013. This will allow the admissions committee the necessary time to thoroughly review applications and give applicants a change to update documentation to be considered for the May 2014 start date.
