Legislation Related to Child Maltreatment

 

RADIOLOGY PROCEDURES, PHOTOGRAPHS, AND MEDICAL RECORDS

(Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-508)

 (a) Any person who is required to make notification under this subchapter may take or cause to be taken radiology procedures and photographs or compile medical records which may be probative as to the existence or extent of child maltreatment.

 (b) Hospitals and clinics may make videotapes which may be probative as to the existence or extent of child maltreatment.

 (c) DHS or law enforcement officials shall have access to the results of radiology procedures, videotapes, photographs, or medical records upon request.

 (c)     The department and law enforcement officials shall be allowed access to the child's public and private school records during the course of the child maltreatment investigation.
