Teleconferences and Guidelines for Best Practices
Reaching out through a growing real-time, interactive video network, evidence-based guidelines continue to be developed with the combined expertise of physicians across Arkansas. This collaborative forum provides health care providers an opportunity to define best practices for selected conditions and peer-review of high-risk cases.
Teleconference discussions are lively and informative with case studies presented by providers across the state. Specialists from multiple disciplines contribute current expertise and management practices.
In collaboration with volunteer family practitioners, obstetricians, neonatologists, and pediatricians in Arkansas, guidelines are being developed for best practices in obstetrics, neonatology, and pediatrics. The guidelines reflect evidence-based medicine as well as the input of volunteer physicians.
Physicians are invited to participate in teleconferences about individual draft guidelines.
Provider Feedback
Feedback from providers is encouraged on the draft obstetrical, neonatal, and pediatric guidelines. Please use the feedback form if unable to attend the teleconference.
The guidelines and suggested levels of care are not intended to dictate an exclusive course of treatment. The guidelines and suggested levels of clinical care were developed to aid health care providers in making decisions about appropriate care for high-risk pregnancy, neonatal, and pediatric cases. The needs of the individual patient, resources available, and limitations unique to the institution or type of practice may warrant variations.
