The purpose of this library is to provide high quality, evidence-based information on all aspects of cardiovascular diseases for the cardiovascular fellows at UAMS. It will be updated periodically to provide ongoing and updated information related to cardiovascular diseases.

Section One includes core curriculum lectures and suggested readings with references to enhance and supplement these topics.

Section Two includes all suggested readings that are compiled and divided into subsections of various cardiovascular subspecialties. This section is intended to give fellows an introduction to cardiovascular medicine and access to updated articles and review papers, which are the required readings before each rotation.

Section Three includes all the practice guidelines and clinical statements from the American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Heart Association (AHA), American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC), and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE). These guidelines have been developed and updated by a Task Force on practice guidelines from these leading organizations. The practice guidelines define the role of specific diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, including non-invasive and invasive procedures in the diagnosis and management of patients with various cardiovascular diseases. These evidence-based guidelines are intended to assist physicians in clinical decision-making by describing a range of generally acceptable approaches for the diagnosis, management, or prevention of specific diseases or conditions.
