Injuries
come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes a person is hurt on the outside, or
inside, or both.. Sometimes someone they love is hurt too. That's why it's
important if you have been abused or know someone who has been abused that
you talk about it with someone trained to help.
You might be afraid of what might happen if you share your feelings with an
adult. There are adults who can help you, including parents, relatives,
teachers or counselors. It's important to be honest when talking to them so
that you can receive the right kind of help as quickly as possible.
This program, AR BEST, is designed to help parents and children connect with
trustworthy adults. This website has a number of links to provide you with
important information and guidance. Remember, you are not alone. There are
people who can help, like a counselor, doctor, or teacher near you.
