Application Process
If you are interested in applying to
the AHEC-NW Family Medicine Residency Program, please complete the following
steps:
1. We only accept applications through
the Electronic Residency Application Service
(ERAS) which is provided by your medical school.
2. Submit three letters of
recommendation to us through the ERAS program from preceptors or other clinical
faculty who have worked with you.
3. Submit a letter of recommendation
through ERAS from your Dean along with a copy of your medical school transcript.
4. After receipt and review of your
application we will contact you regarding an interview. We will make every
effort to accommodate your schedule.
5. View a copy of our
Policy for Resident Selection for a complete understanding of the
application process.
6. For international medical graduates, we require at least one year of supervised clinical experience in a U.S.
health care facility and no more than five years out of medical school or
three years away from the clinical practice of medicine as a physician. We have no minimum score requirements. We will sponsor H1 or
J1 visas if you are chosen. We accept applications via ERAS only.
7. We need
three letters of recommendation, a Dean's letter and a copy of your medical
school transcript.
