Dr. Lee Parker was the first Director of the AHEC-NW Regional Medical
Program. He and his wife Beverly have four children: Libby, Susan, Steven
and Lynn. His former practices include: from 1957-59 in Dermott, AR; from
1959-1967 in McGehee, AR; and in 1967 he moved to Fayetteville, AR. Dr.
Parker delivered between 750-1000 babies including one resident at this
program. Dr. Parker's hobbies include gardening, travel, fishing/hunting,
golf, church.
Dr. Parker was instrumental in starting the AHEC-NW program in 1974 and
retired from the AHEC-NW Director's position in 1996. Dr. Parker was also
instrumental in starting the Radiologic Technology, Medical Technology,
Nursing and Pharmacology programs at AHEC-NW. In his career Dr. Parker has
established several medical student and other health professional

Visiting Professor at the Kiohsiung Medical College in Taiwan from
