Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
The Department of Education at AHEC-NW recognizes the importance of
life-long learning for nursing professionals. Active participation in learning
activities is essential to help develop and maintain continuing competence,
enhance professional practice, and support achievement of career goals. AHEC-NW
has an active, ongoing schedule of CNE activities from September through May
covering a variety of clinical specialties. Nurse consortiums meet semi-annually
to discuss and determine topics of interest on which to base programs. The
Department collaborates closely with the local health care community to provide
high quality programs at affordable rates.
