Fees

Charges are determined by the complexity of the illness and amount of time spent with the patient.  A complete list of our fees is available in the office and you may review it if you wish.

Insurance and Patient Payments

We are happy to assist you in filing your insurance forms.  You must remember that the amount your insurance company pays for services is part of your contract with your insurance carrier.  Any questions or problems you have should be directed to them.  You will be responsible for the difference between what your insurance pays and the allowable charge for the service.  Co-pays are due at the time of service.

Patients without insurance coverage may contact the AHEC Clinic Manager (479-424-3110) or reception personnel for information about current payment terms and other questions.

Additional Note

AHEC Family Medical Center is a part of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a state facility. AHEC can request garnishment of Arkansas state income taxes for outstanding balances on accounts.  Additionally, if necessary, accounts may be sent to a collection agency.   If you have any questions about your account, we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
