UAMS ADMINISTRATIVE GUIDE
|SUBJECT:||RENTAL OF OFF-CAMPUS FACILITIES|
The purpose of this policy is to inform UAMS employees of the procedures for leasing off-campus facilities. Campus Operations coordinates leasing activity with State Building Services (SBS) and is the contact for UAMS departments for rental of off-campus facilities.
After a UAMS department identifies the desired off-campus location, a State lease is required for rental of a facility that will be needed for one year or longer. To initiate a lease, send a completed, signed SBS Form 5-100A (Request for Lease Action) to the Vice Chancellor for Campus Operations, #575. In accordance with SBS regulations, lease requests should be initiated three months prior to the commencement date.
To arrange short-term facility rental of less than one year, send a completed Facility Use Agreement (signed by both the facility manager and an official of the requesting department) to #575. This is not renewable. Occupancy beyond the term of the Facility Use Agreement will require a lease, which should be initiated three months before the Facility Use Agreement expires.
