Terri J. Hutton, M.F.A., B.S.
Assistant Professor/Clinic Director Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology
Ms. Hutton has been an Assistant Professor and Clinic Director in the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology since July, 2006. She came to UAMS in 1985 as an Instructor/Clinic Supervisor and she advanced to Clinic Director in 2001.
Ms. Hutton received a B.S. in Speech Pathology from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a M.F.A. in Speech Pathology from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. She has held a Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology license from the Arkansas Board of Examiners since 1976 and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology since 1972.
In 2006, Ms. Hutton received the UALR College of Professional Studies Faculty Excellence Award in Public Service, and in 2005 the UAMS Office of Educational Development awarded her the Excellence in Educational Research First Place Award. She is a member of the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders and has been a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since 1971 and in 2007 was honored as a ASHA Fellow at the national ASHA meetings. Ms. Hutton also serves on the UAMS College of Health Related Professions Curriculum Committee, the UALR/UAMS Joint Graduate Council and the UAMS Graduate Council Curriculum Committee.
