Kathryn K. Neill, Pharm.D.

Kathryn K. Neill is a 2000 graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. After completing a two-year fellowship in Neuropharmacology, she joined the UAMS College of Pharmacy faculty in 2002. She served as the Clinical Specialist for the UAMS Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine from 2002 - 2009. In this role, she worked as a member of the interdisciplinary MICU team with physicians, residents, nurses, and pharmacy and medical students and led the pharmacotherapeutic instruction for students and residents on rotation in the MICU. In 2009, Dr. Neill transitioned to the position of Hospital Experiential Director for the College of Pharmacy. She coordinates student learning and assessment and provides preceptor and site development for health-system management, acute care, and ambulatory care practice sites throughout the state.
Dr. Neill teaches in both the didactic and experiential curriculum. Her teaching responsibilities have included pulmonary disorders, stroke, nutrition support, and critical care therapeutics. She is also involved in teaching and precepting pharmacy residents including responsibilities within the Postgraduate Teaching Certificate Program offered through the College. She has served on various hospital and College committees including serving as Chair of the Curriculum committee since 2005. Dr. Neill is an active member of multiple state and national organizations including the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Society of Health-System Pharmacy, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Arkansas Pharmacists Association, and Arkansas Association of Health-systems Pharmacists. Her areas of interest in scholarship include educational methodology and learning outcomes, preceptor and site support and development, and health outcomes.
