Academic Affairs Division
The
Division of Academic Affairs is responsible for providing central administration and
services in support of the teaching, learning missions
of UAMS. The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is the Chief Academic Officer and works with the Deans other cabinet-level officials to maintain and improve the university's education pnrograms as well as the general intellectual environment
of the campus. The Vice Chancellor represents UAMS in external relations involving
academic programs, such as the Arkansas Department of Higher Education, accrediting bodies, regulatory agencies and
other colleges and universities.

Division Services
New Students -- Entering students must certify that they are residents in order to quality for the resident rate on student tuition. For out-of-state residents, a higher tuition rate will apply. While tuition and fees vary and are established by the individual colleges, the resident status form is used by all UAMS students (all colleges). Diplomas -- UAMS Academic Affairs verifies graduates and orders for replacement diplomas for graduates who have lost the original diploma or whose diplomas has been destroyed. Graduates should contact their college registrars directly in order to apply for a replacement diploma.
