The
Division of Academic Affairs is responsible for providing centralized
services in support of the education mission
of the University. The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
works as a partner with the Deans, other cabinet-level officials,
and the Academic Senate to enrich the general intellectual environment
of the campus. In addition, the Vice Chancellor is the campus' chief academic officer and represents UAMS' academic programs to accrediting organizations, regulatory agencies, and
other campuses and research institutions. The Vice Chancellor provides oversight to education support and service units, including the UAMS Library, Office of Academic Services, Office of Educational Development, Student Financial Services (student financial aid), Student Activities and Housing and the Clinical Skills Center. Additional departments in the division include Partners for Inclusive Communities, Institutional Reporting, and the Arkansas Commission on Child Abuse, Rape and Domestic Violence.
