Academic Affairs and Research Administration Division

The Division of Academic Affairs is responsible for providing centralized services in support of the teaching, learning, and research missions of UAMS. The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs/Research Administration works as a partner with the Deans, other cabinet-level officials, and the Academic Senate for the general intellectual environment of the campus and represents the campus in external relations involving academic programs,with regulatory agencies, liaison bodies, and other campuses and research institutions.

Division Services

New Students -- Entering students must certify that they are residents in order to quality for the resident rate on student tuition. For non-state residents, a higher tuition rate will apply. While tuition and fees vary and are established by the individual colleges, the resident status form is used by all UAMS students (all colleges). Find both the form and the policy explaining its use below. Diplomas -- UAMS Academic Affairs verifies graduates and orders for replacement diplomas for graduates who have lost the original diploma or whose diplomas has been destroyed. Graduates can either contact their colleges directly or contact Elizabeth Bard, Academic Affairs at (501) 296-1275 or ebard@uams.edu.
