Organization

The Arkansas TRI structure encourages excellence and inclusiveness, and infuses enthusiasm and energy. The TRI organizational structure capitalizes on centralized research and education on the UAMS campus and maximizes the frequency and quality of multidisciplinary, interinstitutional, and intercommunity interactions. The TRI structure was designed to seamlessly integrate institutes and colleges across UAMS to combine strengths and minimize weaknesses. The TRI administration includes all UAMS colleges, disciplines, and statewide partners; the TRI Director has close contact with directors of all program components. The TRI Executive Board includes a representative and alternate from each component and representatives from major external partners. Because large committees can be slow to move, a smaller committee, the Executive Steering Committee, advises the TRI Director and helps draft policies to be brought before the Executive Board.
