Medical
Interpreter Training Program
The following
Registration Policy
applies to all candidates:
- Candidates complete and return the
Registration Form together with the required payment to Regional
Programs.
- Upon processing the Registration Form a
test date and time will be assigned to the candidate.
- All candidates registering for the 48-hour
Medical Interpreter Certificate course are required to take a Language
Skills Evaluation Test. This test is normally conducted via the
telephone and takes between 30 minutes but not longer than an hour.
This initial evaluation exam is necessary in order to determine your
bilingual fluency levels and knowledge of medical terminology.
Applicants are expected to be fully bilingual to participate in the
training course. Once you register, you will be contacted by an
evaluator to schedule a mutually convenient time to conduct the testing.
- Candidates must be available for the
Language Skills Test to be enrolled in to the training program.
- Candidates must be available for the test
session as scheduled
- Money orders, bank checks, and personal
checks are the only acceptable forms of test and training fees.
- Payment remitted for the wrong amount or
returned checks for insufficient funds will be returned with the
Registration Form.
- No rescheduling will be maid if candidates
fail to be available for the assigned time slot.
- Language Skills Test fees are
non-refundable.

Registration

Materials fee, and Tuition where applicable, must be submitted upon approval
from Angelina Levitskaya, program director .
