Dr. Terry Angtuaco has been selected to give radiology lectures in Thailand in March 2005 and was recently named one of the outstanding alumni of the century by her undergraduate university.
Best Doctors, Inc. published the results of their most recent survey to find the best doctors in America in various specialties. More than half of the Arkansas doctors on the list are from UAMS, ten of whom are in the Department of Radiology.
In the Spring of 2004, the Radiology Department at Arkansas Children's Hospital was renovated with ergonomic workstations for the reading room and a PACS computer system containing all the radiological images, eliminating the need for printed radiographic films.
March 18, 2004 was "Match Day," when the residency placements for next year were announced. We are pleased to welcome our new residents to the UAMS radiology department.
