 UAMS Radiology In the News:
Faculty Highlight: Dr. Terry Angtuaco

The RSNA Board of Directors and the Committee on International Relations and Education (CIRE) has approved the following International Visiting Professor (IVP) appointments for a team traveling to Thailand. The team will give lectures at the National Radiology Society meeting in Thailand during the fourth week of March 2005, as well as lecture at other institutions in Thailand. The members of the team are:

  • Teresita L. Angtuaco, M.D. – University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
  • John R. Hesselink, M.D. – University of California San Diego
  • Edward Staab, M.D. – Wake Forest University School of Medicine

Chamaree Chuapetcharasopon, M. D., of the Royal College of Radiologists of Thailand will coordinate the activities of the visiting team.

In July 2004, Teresita L. Angtuaco, M. D., FACR, was recognized as one of the “100 Most Outstanding Alumni of the Century” by her Alma Mater, the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City, Philippines. Dr. Angtuaco was a B.S. Biology (pre-med) Summa cum Laude graduate of this University in 1969 and was presented with the Most Outstanding Graduate award at the graduation ceremony that year.

Dr. Terry specializes in obstetric ultrasound at UAMS. She is often invited to give lectures in other parts of the country and the world.
