What Is The UAMS Research Compliance
Hotline?
The UAMS Research Compliance Hotline is a toll-free number that you can call
anytime from anywhere in the United States to report suspected activities that
violate federal or state regulations governing research involving human
subjects. There is one number for long-distance calls (1-866-255-0537) and one
number for local phone calls (526-7900).
Who Can Call?
UAMS research community employees or other interested parties who know about
or suspect illegal, unethical, or questionable research activity.
How Do You Access The Hotline?
You call the toll-free number and leave a recorded message along with a
contact number. You can use an after-hours phone number if you wish. An ORC
employee will then call you back to get more information about your concern.
What Is the Hotline?s Purpose?
The purpose of this hotline is to provide employees with an alternative
method of reporting suspected research compliance violations, other than using
regular administrative channels. While you are encouraged to report research
compliance issues directly to your immediate supervisor, this may not always be
an option and has made the Hotline available to employees.
What Types Of Incidents/Issues Should
Be Reported To The Hotline?
-
Violation
of human subject protections
-
Falsification
of research data
-
Fraudulent
research financial issues
-
Financial
conflicts of interest
-
Infringement
