Fellowship Information

Thank you for your interest in the Fellowship Training Program in Gastroenterology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Please note:  The application process for 2010 is now closed.

Online applications for 2011 will open on November 1, 2009 on this website.  Please continue to check this page for additional updates and information for year 2011 as it becomes available.

The UAMS Gastroenterology Fellowship Program is a challenging, three year clinical and research experience that will allow fellows to build the foundation for a career as a gastroenterologist.

Candidates for our program must complete three years of Internal Medicine in an ACGME accredited program and must be a United States citizen or a permanent resident. International graduates must hold a current ECFMG certificate and sponsorship is available for both J-1 clinical and H-1B visas.

The Division of Gastroenterology does NOT currently participate in ERAS (Electronic Residency Application System) or the NRMP (National Resident Matching Program). Due to the heavy volume of applications we receive, interviews will be extended to a select number of applicants. Qualified applicants will be notified by telephone or email for a personal interview.
