Note:  Be sure to show everyone the basic steps to operate the machine while giving the presentation.  This will be helpful when we have to interact with nursing personnel and explain how the equipment should function.

  1. What are the basic components/parts of the equipment?  What is each major component’s function?

  1. What are the most important things to remember when taking a call on this piece of equipment?  What components of this equipment cause problems, and how do we remedy these problems?

  1. Is this piece of equipment under any service contract?  If so, who can we call to service this equipment during an emergency situation (i.e. Datex equipment – John Doe – list the best way to reach him – pager, cell phone etc.)

Note:  Please include anything else you think everyone should know about this device.  Any handouts that you have will most likely be beneficial to the shop as well (i.e. basic diagrams, 1-page troubleshooting guides, etc.)
