GENERAL COMMENTS: All lectures and examinations
and student presentations will be held in the
Physiology Conference Room in Biomed
2 (242-2).
1. Lectures: Tuesday and Thursday: 1:00
p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Reading Material: Reading material and copies of slides will be supplied
by instructors a few days in advance of each lecture.
3.
Examinations: Three (3) exams with points
distributed equally for
each lecture (10 points per lecture) Exam 1 = 110
points; Exam 2 = 90 points;
Exam 3 =
80 points; Student Presentations
and Written Report = 30 points
4. Questions: Exam questions may be
either objective (e.g. multiple choice,
matching or true/false), short
answer, essay, or any combination thereof.

Microarray
Project: Students will be provided a data set for analysis.
Specific instructions will be provided at the time of the project
start. A brief
4-5 page written report will be due on the day of the student seminar..
8.
Seminars: Each student will be responsible for giving a
20-minute presentation on
their analysis of the microarray data set, the genes they have identified for
validation, and the biological rationale for choosing those genes.
